I am so so sorry for the in activity! There has been so much going on lately I honestly forgot all about my Deviantart account, and I haven't felt the desire to draw in ages, which is sad. But now holidays are back and I have free time and I'm feeling like drawing again and hopefully this time the feeling will stick. Just hoping I can still remember to draw, as the most drawing I've done for months are only the doodles of horses in my homework diary, much to my teacher's annoyance :)

Prologue
Her voice rings through the air clearly, with a loud and faultless purity. Her vocals are soothing, and occasionally drop to a lulling whisper. Her deep brown eyes are like a window to her soul, and they don't leave my own for one moment. The song is about me.
The curtains opposite us billow and for a brief moment her beauty is illuminated by the grey pastel glow of a full moon.
In the flickering candlelight, she tucks a dark ringlet behind her ear and smiles warmly. Her smile can light up a room, and fill even the darkest of dwellings with a radiating glow. Her smile is truly beautiful.
And now she is but ashes on the wind.

Ok.. so I'd love to get peoples opinions on this. I write all the time, and this is an extract from one of my attempts at 'the novel'.
It's the first three paragraphs of my story about a girl called Rhian Carlyle. Science dictates her world. The head of the state controls everything about everyone in Falkore; when they're born, where they live, their job, even who they marry. This is a story about Rhian's life.
